This is horrible. Oh my. Some of it is true though.

Blossom, Goldylocks, Olga , Agent, SpecialK, and WidowLark around the kitchen table at 1949 Troutman in Ridgewood New York on October 26, 2007.
We talk and I write down phrases. All the words in this song were Olga’s as Blossom croons the shared moment we all felt at another exit of a dangerous love affair.
By the way choatic is not one of the first 15 adjectives used to describe this person. Ya know, the father of your children. Neither is their main form of communication another lover’s facebook flirt. Deleted not fast enough before it was ever a possibility of being made Outside. In Austin or wherever the gun is slung.

With kudos to the brilliant Robert Ryan!

Yo Larken,
I think we can update this shit from our phones. But I don’t know how. And I think the internet / help section could help me out.
… Hmm… I think I’ll look into this! (later)
Love,
Nico
PS. I was randomly Google image searching terms for this post and found this. Clearly, my idiot post was meant to lead me to lead you to this amazing illustration. Here is the illustrator’s shop!

A Strange Part of Me:
wants to move to Alaska
wants to stay in one place for once
be too poor to go to anything else this summer
make enough money just to get by
wants to move to asheville or eugene
wants to become a yoga teacher
wants to get paid to song write and come up with brilliant ideas
wants to pay off my student loans
and all my debts
wants to sing birthday telegrams everyday
LARKEN! LARKEN! LARKEN!
The tomatoes are here! The tomatoes are here! Be still my heart.
I am looking forward to my favorite meal in the world: Big thick juicy slices of heirloom tomatoes on toast with cream cheese and lots of sea salt.

I wish you many delicious tomatoes!
Love,
Nico
DEAR LARKEN,
You asked me before about font size in tumblr and I just realized I hadn’t answered.
Umm…I don’t know how, actually. I don’t think Tumblr is that sophisticated. I make your name big by using it as the “Title” of the post. You are the headline, baby!
Happy Tuesday! I brought you these hydrangeas to celebrate.
Love,
Nico
Dear Larken!
I love when you post video! I have to hit the hay, unfortunately. But here is a little song inspired by your song.
Love,
Nico
Possible lyrics….
If you have time tonight lets make a singing telegram about the fact that Burning Man is sold out for the first time ever. We can sing it a couple times in all of our different costumes and I will edit it together really quick….you got a couplea hours to collaborate tonight!?!
Okay here is the song:
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
Glad I got my Burning Man ticket early
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
Simultaneously:
Glad I am in my awesome Conclave
Glad I am in Petals of Pele
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
I can’t believe that shit is sold out
we can use the TIX instead of SHIT if you think you will get in trouble with your parents, I know mine might be bummed if a viral video of me with the word SH*#T is published. What do you say???
LOVE
LARKEN
Because I count my lucky stars for you every single day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIGI! WE LOVE YOU!!! XOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXXOXOOXOXOXOXOXOX LOVELARKENLOVENICO
PS:
How was your Musical Flash Mob @ Zanzibar? What music did you use?
NICO
Reading Casting Shadows by Laura Lee is strumming the stings of my heart. I always knew we’d be involved in this generation’s Babysitter’s Club and that we’d have something amazing to offer in the place of American Girl. The musical, the graphic zine, the animated series and the pen pal project and peer edited digital zine….it’s all so Sassy or FRECKLES. Yes Freckles.
This character is me. It’s weird I get that this character is Laura Lee or Paige or Serra Fels or Olivia, but more than anyone else I truly think that she is me. I’m sorry bicycle sculptures! Oh and I’ve been wanting to design chandeliers for over a year. I hung the lights in the bike shoppe. The stage elements with the shadows can be so gorgeous especially with motion tracking, and the ability to produce 3D projections in a theatrical space (Like the Eyeliner Projection System they have at Vision.4 or at 3 Legged Dog along with the circus element of Aerial.
This could actually be very well collaborated with pupetiers dressed in black who are like scenery who create the shadows that are singing or involved. They also could use actual props like a nightstand and a coat rack and trenchcoat to make a shadow that dissipates immediately.
Also animations can build the shadows. There is SO MUCH POTENTIAL.
I like the idea of hiring people (from HOY) for a professional union rate show, maybe to workshop at Irondale. The Creative Capitol Grants for 2012 are: Performing Arts, Emerging Fields and Innovative Literature.
I am so excited. This is totally destiny. Do you need Laura Lee’s phone number?
Love YOU,
LARKEN
oh my things happening sis.
- Nikki...Sabrina Asch, the amazing photographer behind Feeling Not So Fresh is coming with me to Awakening the Spirit Retreat. How is she getting to Colorado? Driving? What is her dream? To do Kareoke, bike powered in Walmart Parking Lots, Beaches, and other remote locales. And photograph it. Check out her style: http://sabrinaasch.com/performanceindex/perfindex.html
- Anyways today I told her about the bike powered generator that Rock the Bike built us that genius bike wonder designer and mechanic Steven Ma is storing at 3rd Ward. I also hooked her up with my buddy Deco Goodman an industrial designer who makes cardboard speakers. All our down for a possible collaboration. All are incredibly awesome folks.
- So anyways it looks very likely that our singing telegram caboose may turn into a bike powered mobile music interactive kareoke machine. Sabrina and I were calling it Lifeokie--because people may want to make up their own songs about the playa to music that is happening or being produced on the playa.
- What do you think of this twist. Hosting a random late night song making station with kareoke option could somehow be involved with our singing telegram idea. Videos of people singing our songs to the theme camps and photos of them doing it too-edited in and then projected to them after Temple Burn. Perhpas there are original playa greetings with themes and we compile and deliver the playa-okie grams at the end of the week?!?
- Yes Please!
- Love,
- Larken
